Juanda Airport Conducts Runway Safety Team

Surabaya (06/10) - In improving aviation safety at the Juanda International Airport, PT. Angkasa Pura I of the Bandar Udara Internasional Juanda office performed the activity of Runway Safety Team in the Bromo Meeting Room at the Administration Office Building (AOB) of the Juanda Airport. The event was opened by Sukirman, Head of the Airport Security Department and accompanied by Efrizal Chaniago, Head of the Airport Safety and Quality Management Department.  

“The activity of Runway Safety Team should be performed more than once in a year as this activity is performed with the purpose to remind that the implementation of aviation maintenance and security be always improved “said Sukirman, Head of the Airport Security Department.

The event was attended by the Region III Airport Authority of Juanda, Perum LPPNPI, BMKG, Management of PT Angkasa Pura I Bandara Juanda, Airlines and Ground Handling officials.

"The activity of Runway Safety Team has the purpose to coordinate and discuss any matters not in conformity with and related to air service at the Juanda International Airport Surabaya" said Efrizal Chaniago, Head of the Airport Safety and Quality Management Department.

The coordinating meeting of the Runway Safety Team is carried out as the media for communication and solution to the hazards and problems related to aviation so as to jointly anticipate measures to tackle the problems.
